Noticeboard

We are currently providing telephone consultations for all patients until further notice.  We will not be offering face to face appointments. However, the doctor may assess you as suitable for a Video Consultation. Please click here for instructions to connect to this service.

Appointments 

The Cairns Practice offers a range of pre-bookable advance appointments and book 'on the day' appointments.

We also have a number of 'overflow' appointments available each day at 10:00 for patients who feel they need to be seen that day. Patients must telephone the surgery to request an overflow appointment and will be seen in strict order of arrival.

Telephone Consultations

If you feel your problem could be dealt with over the telephone you can ask the receptionist for a telephone consultation. The receptionist will take some details including your telephone number and a brief description of your enquiry. This will help the doctor to prioritise urgent calls. Please leave a landline contact number where possible and alert the receptionist if your phone does not accept withheld numbers.

Late Arrivals

If you are running late for your appointment please inform a member of the reception team as soon as possible. The receptionist will check with the doctor/nurse if they are still able to see you.      

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
