In view of the Coronavirus outbreak The Cairns Practice is currently providing telephone consultations for all patients until further notice.  We will not be offering face to face appointments. However, the doctor may assess you as suitable for a Video Consultation. You can find information regarding video consultations via ‘quick links’ on the right hand side of this page.

Michele Blair, our Community Links Worker can provide assistance to patients who may require additional support during this challenging time. Please contact our administration team who will pass on your details.

We are changing to a more integrated repeat prescription ordering system. Please download attached form and drop in to the surgery.

Repeat Prescriptions 

At the Cairns Practice we aim to have your repeat prescription available for collection 48 working hours following your request. Please note if you require your medication early i.e. if you are going on holiday, please contact reception staff prior to ordering.

Patients wishing to order their repeat prescription can order via our 24 hour prescription line on 0141 531 6218. Please leave your name, date of birth, address and telephone number along with the name of the medication you require.

There is also a prescription box at the main reception desk.

To improve the efficiency of our telephone answering service we would ask that you do not telephone the surgery to check in advance if your prescription is ready. 

Prescription Requests 

If you require medication that is not on your repeat list you may ask a member of the reception team to request this on your behalf. Please ensure you leave a current contact telephone number in case we need to get in touch with you. 

Lost/Urgent Prescriptions 

In the event of a lost prescription or you request an urgent prescription you will be asked to complete and sign a form.
